NH Drinking Water Festival Coming to Manchester on May 6

The NH Drinking Water Coalition is expecting a record 500 students at this year’s Water Festival at the Manchester Water Treatment Plant on May 6. We’re very excited to bring our message of water quality, conservation and environmental education to so many young people!

The students will be able to participate in hands-on water related activities and attend a concert, a reptile presentation from NH Audubon, or learn about water content of snow from the Mt. Washington Observatory staff.

The state finals of the Water Science Fair will also be held during the festival, and the winners of the state-wide Water Poetry Contest will be announced.

This is a volunteer event provided free to students. The NH Drinking Water Coalition (made up of NHDES, NHWWA, GSRWA, RCAP, NHWPCA and municipalities) plans the event and relies on donations to cover expenses. Those expenses include food (for volunteers, science fair and poetry contest finalists), awards, sanitation, entertainer fees and equipment rentals.

We can’t provide this day for the kids without your help!

Please consider sponsoring this great event!
