WATER MANAGERS SCHOOL

The Water Manager’s School (WMS) is an intensive, nine-month training for supervisors and staff working in or advancing to supervisory positions. Even the best and most experienced operators confront a real challenge as supervisors – effectively managing people. WMS instructors and materials build communication, management and planning skills that will make you more competent and capable in both business and personal relationships.  WMS graduates earn 70 TCH. Completing and passing the ‘Manage for Success – Effective Utility Leadership Practices’ offered by Sacramento State University (CA) and included in WMS is worth an additional 45 TCH.

Classes are held one day per month over the nine-month period. The course is currently offered every other year. The application period for the 2025 course will open in the fall of 2024. If you have any questions about the Water Managers School please contact Wade Pelham, NHDES at (603) 271-2818 or wade.pelham@des.nh.gov.
