Four Association Partnership Supports State-wide Water Services
Conceived by the need to collaborate for common cause and sparked by former NHDES Water Division Director Tom O’Donovan in early 2019, the Four Associations became a team in response to pressures from the COVID pandemic on public water services. The Four Associations include NH Water Works, NH Water Pollution Control, NH Municipal, and Granite State Rural Water Associations, convened on a regular basis by NHDES.
As we figured out how to keep the water flowing during COVID, we have since expanded to shared legislative advocacy, including State Aid Grants and emergency responder status for water workers. We also continue to work closely with NHDES on funding water system upgrades, modernization, and worker capacity as federal infrastructure funding ramps up.
Our shared purpose is to provide safe, affordable and dependable water services to New Hampshire Citizens. Working together, the Four Associations are stronger than any of us is alone.
