The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services’ annual Drinking Water Source Water Protection Conference will focus on how to ensure the long-term protection of drinking water resources, one of NH’s most important natural resources and highest priority for public water systems according to the American Water Works Association.
Conference session will cover a variety of topics including:
- Research of PFAS release, exposure and public health impacts.
- Strategic conservation of critical lands that protect source water quality.
- Planning and response to cyanobacteria blooms in drinking water sources.
- Limiting the effects of stormwater through more effective “low impact” designs.
- Municipal case studies on local actions that add protection and extend source water capacity.
