Join us for this annual fun and interesting event as we visit sites in Durham and Dover, NH.

5 TCHs

$80 for NHWWA Members, $100 for Not-yet Members

Refreshments include coffee, drinks, snacks, and sandwiches.

SCHEDULE:

(NOTE: Attendees can embark on the Tour Bus in Concord or Durham)

7:15 AM – Load Bus in Concord, 30 Stickney Ave.

7:30 AM – Bus departs Concord Bus Station

8:15 AM – Bus arrives in Durham

8:30–10:00 AM – Durham/UNH Treatment Plant Tour, 28 Water Works Rd., Durham

We will receive a tour of the University of New Hampshire’s new water treatment facility, raw water pump station and residuals handling facilities, as well as the circa 1935 facility that it replaced.  Construction of the new plant was completed using Design-Build delivery, and transitioned into a Design-Build-Operate in the days leading up to the COVID pandemic.

Lead Presenters are  Rob Little, Drinking Water National Practice Leader, Principal in Charge of the design; Joe Geary, O&M Area Manager; and Mike Sullivan, Plant Manager

10:15 AM – Bus departs Durham (parking available for those meeting bus at this location)

10:30 AM–12:00 PM – Dover PFAS Treatment Facility, Stonewall Drive, Dover

We will visit Dover’s new PFAS treatment facility currently under construction. We will also tour a recharge facility associated with the 2 supply wells for the plant. The project engineer will be on site to give an overview of the project and explain how they got to where they are and why they have embarked on this particular endeavor.

12:30–1:30 PM – Picnic Lunch and Networking at Hilton Park, Dover Point

1:45 PM – Stop in Durham to drop people who loaded the bus there.

2:30 PM – Arrive at Concord Bus Station
