Join the NHWWA YPs for a Treat and Meet in Merrimack. The one-hour tour will be followed by networking at the Thirsty Moose Taphouse. Appetizers provided!

Merrimack Village District Wells 7 & 8 can supply a max yield of up to 1,250 GPM or 1.8MGD. The raw water contains Iron, Manganese and PFAS which are all filtered out onsite at the treatment facility. The treatment process includes pretreatment of the raw water prior to filtration. The finished water is disinfected and treated for corrosion control before entering the distribution system. The tour will include discussion about the challenges MVD has faced maintaining good water quality from Wells 7 & 8 and what has been done in just the last 9 years to keep these wells providing clean and safe water to their community. We will walk the property and visit the well pumping stations and the treatment facility where the whole process will be explained from the wellhead to the distribution system.
