Come see a small PWS water system upgrade in action. Evans Cooperative is a small manufactured home community in Epping that received grant funds from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) to upgrade their drinking water infrastructure. This water system was built in the 1980s and most components were original to that time. There have been many distribution leaks and water quality issues. A new pump house and new distribution is currently under construction.
Presenters:
Abby Fopiano, Hydrogeologist and Owner Edgewater Strategies a consulting firm focused on groundwater development and public water system management and optimization. Abby has been working in New England’s drinking water industry as a consultant, as a water system operator and as a NH DES regulator. Abby is NH Professional Geologist, sits on the Board of Professional Geologists, Board of Natural Scientist, NH Water Works Association Board and President of the Geological Society of NH.
Chris Albert, Designer and Owner, CSA Environmental Consultants. Chris Albert designs and oversees upgrades to small community drinking water and clean water infrastructure, designs septic system and provides guidance for overall site development and restoration. Chris is a wetlands scientist and soil scientist and teaches water works and clean water classes to operators and facility owners. Chris sits on the Board of Natural Scientist, NH Water Works Association Board and is Chair of the Granite State Onsite WasteWater Association.
