SPEAKERS AND PROGRAMS

Greg Barker, NH Department of Environmental Services – Program and regulatory updates

Ryan Horner, Franklin Electric – “Application, Installation, and Troubleshooting Submersible Motors”. Overview of Franklin Electric’s AIM manual, focused on most common field issues and troubleshooting submersible motors with meters. Attendees provided a copy of the AIM manual (online attendees can view or download the manual).

Ryan is the Senior Field Service Engineer for Franklin Electric covering New York and New England. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering and has worked for Franklin Electric for 17 years.

Abby Fopiano, Edgewater Strategies – “What’s Happening in that Well?”. Understanding how the groundwater system works helps you better understand water well pump system requirements and controls. This discussion will focus on the difference in well types, how groundwater flows into wells, NH’s groundwater resources, what happens during drought or when wells are stressed, groundwater level monitoring, well interference effects, and other related concepts of hydrogeology.

Abby established Edgewater Strategies in 2021 after 15 years as a hydrogeologist in New Hampshire’s drinking water industry. Abby obtained a BS in Geology from the University of Montana (Missoula), a MS in Hydrology from the University of New Hampshire (Durham), and is a Licensed NH Professional Geologist.
